Character creating community?

I've had this idea niggling in the back of my head for a while and I have no idea if there is interest in it, or the best way to go about it.

A character creation community, that's a challenge community as well. Kind of a cross between a Landcomm and a prompting community, with the social comm being a sandbox to rp with your new characters, or simply fic with them. I'm not even sure if this would be popular enough to put forth the effort to make.

I'd be interested though I'll probably join with my writing journal. Most of the musebox prompt groups similar to this idea fizzled out either due to mods getting eaten alive by life or limited community over here even with a big rp/writer contingent.

I have noticed that the RP/writing community is somewhat limited here, which is surprising because there's no invite codes, so it's easy to create journals. A community like this wouldn't work on IJ because of that alone.

Granted, the option to use a musebox journal as opposed to creating individual journals would definitely be an option for members. Everyone writes/rps in different ways. :)

What's a Landcomm?

A landcomm is a challenge community, that can be themed for a series, a genre (such as sci-fi, or tv shows only), or a type such as graphics or writing. You are sorted into a team and earn points for your team per challenge done. Team with he most points at the end of a round or phase wins. Phases generally run about 3-4 months.

They're called landcomms because the early ones were named like whedonland or Stargateland etc.
